I am a proud daughter of Mexican immigrants, and I grew up in Lennox. My parents taught me to treat everyone with respect, stand up for what is right, and help others.

When I went to high school in Manhattan Beach, I saw how much more those schools had than the schools in my community. That stayed with me. A child’s ZIP code should never decide the quality of their education.

Since I was elected to the school board in 2018, I have worked to make sure students, families, and teachers have a voice in our schools. I have asked tough questions about how our district spends money because our community deserves clear answers.

I am working to make our public schools stronger, expand mental health support, and improve special education services. Our teachers need the tools and support to do their jobs well. Every student deserves help preparing for life after high school.

Our tax dollars should help students and improve our schools. They should never put private profits ahead of our children. And no family should have to leave our community because the rent is too high.

We all have a part to play in building better schools. With your support, we will keep working together for our students, our families, and our future.
